Color selection tools in CODIJY
Both Colorizer pro and Recoloring offers two alternative ways to select colors.
Use either a classic palette loaded with advanced options or thematic sets of ready-made colors.
The windows with Color Picker (1) and Color Libraries (2) are docked to the right sidebar.
The professional version of CODIJY, Colorizer Pro, contains another important tool, Color Capture.
You can open it from the Color Picker and use it to copy colors from the color images.
While colorizing images you may also refer to colors used in the document. They are available in the History window.
Activate and organize color selection tools
To save space, the Color Libraries and History windows come under the tabs.
When necessary, you can drag drag their window to the front.
Note: in some of the program’s layouts the History window was disabled.
To activate History, call the context menu over the empty toolbar area.
Color Picker
Color Picker allows you to select colors from a palette or enter appropriate color parameters in RGB, HSB Lab, and YUV color spaces.
You can also use it to enter the HTML number or to call the Capture Colors dialog (Pro)
When to use Color Picker
If you’re new to colorizing photos, choosing the right tone right from the palette can be a challenge!
Use Color Libraries for quick and easy color selection!
However, the Color Picker dialog may come in handy, when adjusting mask colors with the Group Repaint Color Picker tool.
Also, after you choose the color using any other tool, it displays in the Color Picker.
Color Libraries
Color libraries are CODIJY’s primary color matching tool. They contain ready-made sets of colors and gradients for common subject topics.
Color Libraries facilitate and speedup matching tones dramatically.
Compared to the set of 27 libraries in Recoloring, Colorizer Pro features 100 themes and variations, including people, landscape and urban features.
The Library window
By default, the Library window displays both colors and gradients.
When needed, switch between to colors-only and gradients-only view.
Gradient templates are used by Gradient pen.
Open Libraries in floating windows
You can open several Libraries in advance in the floating window with the click of the button next to the drop down list.
