Color Magic 1.0 for Pro Colorization Released

CODIJY Announces the Release of Color Magic 1.0

We are happy to announce the release of Color Magic 1.0 – the new photo colorization software for Windows, Mac OS X and Ubuntu. The new software has been developed by colorization enthusiasts from Odessa, Ukraine.

Color Magic 1.0 presents an intuitive technology for colorization of the black and white images and replacing colors in the color images. We simplified this process as much as possible with a convenient editor, tools and color libraries.

Color Magic offers a convenient graphic editor, portable color libraries and unique drawing tools. It is very easy to work with. Just draw several magic color strokes to achieve an excellent result.

Color Editor

The editor supports two UI layouts:
• Tabs-centric: editor and result views are on different tabs.
• Split View: the editor and the result views are displayed simultaneously.

Additionally, editor and result view can have independent zoom depth. For example, you can work with zoom picture in the editor, while see the result in its original size.

Cross-platform document format

The application document files (*.mgd) are absolutely independent from platform where they were created. A document file created on the one platform can be easily opened anywhere where Color Magic is installed.

Localized User Interface

Color Magic 1.0 has been localized into the four languages: English, Spanish, Ukrainian and Russian. In the coming versions we will extend the list of supported languages. You can easily change the language setting in the application preferences.
The name of the color libraries depend the current language settings.

Gradient Pen Tool

The Gradient Pen Tool is a unique tool that allows to you create smoother color transfer. For example, shaded and light side of the object can be smoothly merged. Another example are photos, where the object starts at the nearest point to the observer, and goes beyond the horizon, gradually changing color. For example, on the photos with the sky or water.
Also you can use this tool for create unique color effects.

Color Libraries

We created for you the color libraries that contain the most widely used set of colors. You can create your own libraries.
Furthermore you can share own libraries with the other people via exporting and importing to a file (*.cml).

Requirements and Availability

Currently, the Color Magic application is available for the following platforms: Mac OS X, Windows, Linux. The project files are cross-platform and can be opened anywhere where the Color Magic application is installed.
