We are happy to announce the release of version 4.0 of CODIJY Colorizer Pro and CODIJY Recoloring. The new version adds important tools, features new supported options and is now available for Linux. It also fixes known problems.
Version 4 of Colorizer Pro and Recoloring is available for free download for all registered CODIJY users from the Download Page.
Group Repaint Color Picker
If you happen to repaint multiple strokes of same color, Group Repaint Color Picker located on the Tools toolbar is going to dramatically facilitate this process for you.
Requested by quite a few of our users, Group Repaint Color Picker lets select the multiple masks of the same color by clicking just one of its instances and then apply a new color to all of them at once.
The Capture Color Tool in Pro
Since its early days, the Gradient Capture tool In colorizer Pro enabled you to capture multiple colors and their transitions form the color images.
The new version of the Professional Edition of CODIJY adds the Color Capture tool that makes it quick and easy to save colors from the color images.
You can call the Color Capture tool by clicking the image icon next to the HEX field in the Color Picker Dialog.
Then open the color example and click the desired color – the scaled preview will help you to choose among the various pixels.
The new color will show up in the Color Picker dialog, and can be further saved or used for drawing masks.
Alfa-Channel Support
Support for the images with transparences is another feature we have been long asked about. From now on CODIJY software lets colorize these images while preserving the transparency of some areas.
Import Akvis Coloriage Strokes
If you own the license of both CODIJY Colorizer Pro and Akvis Coloriage, you may want to get the most of both applications. This new feature of CODIJY Colorizer Pro lets you import Coloriage masks into CODIJY documents, when you want to make part of colorization in Coloriage and then complete it in CODIJY Colorizer Pro.
To import masks, just click the import mask icon on the toolbar.
Lock the Angle Shortcut
We keep adding new shortcuts that speed up the drawing process! When drawing the Line mask, you can now control and lock the angle of the stroke, by holding down the Shift button.
HiDPI Support
To ensure that the Windows version of CODIJY software looks neat on all resolutions, you can now raise the Support HiDPI flag under the GUI tab in Preferences.
New path for the pre-defined libraries on windows
To eliminate a frequent problem with access to libraries on Windows, they are now saved in the installation folder. In connection with this, if you plan to install CODIJY software on a fresh system, you will only be able to add colors to custom libraries. The Libraries you create, get saved to the Documents folder as before. Note that if you edited the pre-defined libraries in the older versions and want to keep adding colors to them in the future, we recommend exporting these libraries and then importing them as the custom libraries.
How to install the new version?
You don’t need to remove the older version. Just run the installation of the new version.
